Geopark-von-der-Eiszeit-in-die-Steinzeit

From the Ice Age to the Stone Age

Daycare to 10th grade | 1.5 to 5 hours | Geopark, Groß-Ziethen

Gain insight into the geological history of the World Heritage site and the human development in the region during and after the Ice Age.

  • Important information about the organization

    Group size for the “Stone Age” module in the museum:

    Up to 25 children: can be held in the museum without additional supervision.

    From 26 to a maximum of 50 children: The group will be split and booking a guided tour with a geologist will be required.

    Group size for excursions to the adventure sites with a geologist:

    Guided tour by the geologist: maximum of 25 children. The geologist must be booked for the excursion.

    Cost:

    Admission to the Ice Age Museum: €1.50 per child.

    Optional guided tour with a geologist: €35.00 per hour (required for larger groups).

All activities can be customised in terms of topic and duration. The Grumsin Beech Forest can be reached by school classes and children’s groups via bus lines 452 and 497 (UVG) to Altkünkendorf and 920 (BBG) to Groß-Ziethen, see direction. Groups of 9 people or more must be registered.
