The Kultur- und Heimatverein Altkünkendorf e.V., as a strategic partner together with the city of Angermünde, is responsible for operating the Altkünkendorf Info Point and addressing all matters related to the Beech Forest Grumsin that concern the village of Altkünkendorf. Thanks to years of dedicated volunteer efforts, it is possible to keep the Info Point open with its exhibition and to guide visitors to the Altkünkendorf church tower.
In addition to running the info point, the association pursues the following goals:

promoting the village community and researching the history of the village;

Activities and measures to preserve the environment, nature conservation, environmental education and cultural heritage in the Altkünkendorf district;

cultural and sporting activities for senior citizens, children and young people in the district;

organizing festivals and celebrations as part of local customs;

the support of the Altkünkendorf fire-fighting group of the volunteer fire department;

Maintaining the traditions of the district.
