Geocaching tour "The 8 treasures of the city forest"
Welcome to the geocaching tour “The eight treasures of the city forest” in the Angermünde city forest!
Along a roughly two-kilometer loop trail, you’ll find eight stations with tricky questions and exciting challenges.
In the process, you’ll learn in a fun way why the forest is so important to us humans.
This is how it works:
- The tour is open from March to October.
- Enter the following start coordinates into your GPS device or cell phone: 53.017050 N, 13.942205 E
- Take route A – please follow the instructions on this route.
- Route B is intended for school classes traveling with several groups at the same time.
Tip:
The GPS coordinates in the forest are not always accurate. You should therefore also look out for good hiding places. The hiding places are usually right next to the path, no more than 5 to 8 meters away. Look for a small green tube (petling) with the next clue.
Note for participants:
Participation in the geocaching tour is at your own risk. Please be aware of your surroundings and other people, wear sturdy shoes and be careful. Please leave the caches you have found in their places so that other groups can also take part in the tour after you. The town of Angermünde accepts no liability for accidents or damage.
School classes are welcome to request the tour via the town of Angermünde. Bitte melden Sie sich dafür bei Maren Michaelsen: M.Michaelsen@angermuende.de.
Important: The geocaching tour is currently only available in German! We are still working on the English translation.
Note for forest visitors:
The following also applies outside of the geocaching tour: you explore the forest at your own risk – the town of Angermünde accepts no liability. Take care of yourself and treat nature with respect.
